About the role As a Specialist Clinician in the Adult Service at Stop, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, evidence-based assessment and tailored therapeutic intervention services to adults who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviour (HSB). This full-time position is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact. What you'll be doing
- Delivering therapeutic assessment and intervention for adults who have been referred for harmful sexual behaviour.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement tailored treatment plans.
- Maintaining detailed clinical records and ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of the Adult Service.
- Recognised qualification in psychology, counselling or a related mental health discipline.
- Significant experience providing psychological services to adults in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
- Registration with the appropriate professional body (e.g. NZPB, NZAC) and a clean practicing certificate.
