Clinical Educator (Oral Health) - Te Tai Tokerau (Northland) - permanent, 0.4FTE

Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences School of Clinical Sciences We are inviting applications for a Clinical Educator (0.4FTE) to join the department of Oral Health at the School of Clinical Sciences. This position will be clinically based at Te Tai Tokerau (Northland) during the semester period (12 weeks per semester) supervising students. During non-teaching periods, you will receive mentorship from academics to further grow your capacity and contributions to the programme. With the guidance of the Course and Programme Leaders and Head of Department, you will deliver teaching and learning experiences for students enrolled in the oral health programme, including simulation and clinical practice. Applicants will hold a bachelor's degree in oral health therapy and have a strong clinical and/or academic background, currently registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand. Candidates will embrace the vision and values of the school and commit to ongoing professional development supported by the AUT staff development programme. The successful applicant will:

  • model high-level clinical experience across restorative and periodontal practice teaching and research practice

  • have competent organisational and IT skills
