Lead Platform Engineer
Location (Nearest MRT): Changi Salary: Up to $14,500 (Depends on Qualification & Relevant Work Experience) Duration of Work: Permanent Work Days & Hours: Mon to Fri, Office Hours Responsibilities:- Develop, own, and execute the vision, strategy, standards, and guidelines for company's internal developer tools.
- Help define and execute the technical roadmap, which includes prioritization of development for internal tools and driving architectural strategy.
- Enable internal engineering & data teams by focusing on user self-service approaches to platform operation, reducing toil and improving developer experience.
- Drive continual platform enhancement and balance operational needs with customer driven improvements.
- Be accountable for risk mitigation, compliance and security.
- Manage third-party providers in the delivery of platform services, including key relationships with cloud providers and system integrators.
- Ensure 24/7 operational performance SLA is maintained.
- Lead a team of DevOps, SRE and Developers.
- Perform hands-on coding as needed (Scripting, IaC, Custom Build Dev. Tools)
- Computer Science Degree or equivalent.
- 12+ years of relevant experience with a mix of software development, cloud architecture and infrastructure.
- 3+ years leading team and managing projects.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing platform strategies and technical roadmaps.
- Strong expertise in Cloud Architecture and Event Driven Architecture.
- Strong expertise in DevOps and SRE practices.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and cloud service providers.
- Experience in developing custom development tools and automation solutions.
- Solid understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies (WAF, VPN, ZTNA, IAM, etc.).
- Know one or more high level programming languages such as Java, Node.JS, Go, Python.
- Hands on experience with Infrastructure as Code.
- Hands on experience with CI/CD.
- AWS certification is a plus.
