Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our growing team. This is a full-time remote position where you will play a key role in building and maintaining backend solutions for mobile applications. You’ll work closely with our designers, front-end developers, and project managers to ensure seamless integrations and performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust PHP-based backend systems for mobile applications.
- Work with modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) to build scalable solutions.
- Design and optimize relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into applications.
- Implement best practices for security, performance, and code quality.
- Participate in Agile development processes and provide technical input during project planning.
- Occasionally join client or team calls during US time zones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between backend and mobile applications.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex issues in production and development environments.
- Ensure all work is thoroughly tested and meets quality standards.
- 5+ years of experience as a PHP Developer, preferably in an app or digital agency environment.
- Strong expertise in PHP and at least one modern framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
- Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, third-party integrations, and JSON.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and deployment processes.
- Experience in building scalable and secure backend systems.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Comfortable joining Zoom calls with the camera on.
- Ability to work and participate in meetings during US time zones as needed.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of mobile app backend requirements (push notifications, real-time features).
