Sr. Network Operations Center Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr NOC Manager to lead and manage our Network Operations Center (NOC) resources. The Sr NOC Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective monitoring and management of network operations, with a focus on proprietary tools, open source tools, and network expertise. As a Sr NOC Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the reliability, availability, and performance of our I.T. infrastructure. You will be accountable for the overall operation of the NOC, providing strategic direction, mentoring team members, and establishing processes and practices to enhance operational efficiencies. Your expertise in network technologies, open source tools, and Linux systems, coupled with your leadership skills, will be essential in driving the success of our NOC team. Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Proven experience (7+ years) in network operations management or leadership roles with a strong focus on NOC operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in network monitoring and management tools, including but not limited to: Cacti, Nagios, Logic Monitor, PRTG, Solarwinds, Grafana and others.
- Linux Expertise: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux systems.
- Network Skills: Strong understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and technologies.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Vendor Management: Significant experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) for third-party network services and support.
- Capacity Management: Proven ability to manage and optimize network performance, including capacity planning and disaster recovery strategies.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions to improve network reliability and performance.
- ITIL Certification: ITIL Foundation certification or higher-level ITIL certifications preferred.
- Proven Track Record: Successful history of leading NOC teams, implementing operational improvements, and achieving strategic objectives.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
