Job Title Technical Maintenance Technician Job Location Co. Dublin Salary €60K - €80K Role Overview: Our client company who are based in County Dublin are now looking to recruit for a Technical Maintenance Technician to join their vastly experienced team working within the Food Manufacturing sector. You will play an integral part of the Engineering team ensuring both business and customer expectations are met, by supporting the day-to-day engineering team and reporting to the Engineering Group Manager. You will be working closely with operations and site management to ensure key target outputs are reached, as well as ensuring optimum performance is achieved from plant and equipment, whilst contributing to improving production efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Undertake Electrical / PLC and Mechanical troubleshooting on the production lines and equipment. Perform routing electrical, PLC maintenance, Install major electrical machines and appliances for the site. Electro-mechanical repairs to high-speed, PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment. Carry out Preventive & Predictive Maintenance routines using the site CMMS (PEMAC), Support Production Team in achieving targets. Closely monitor production line and machine performance and intervene online as soon as any deterioration in performance occurs. Ability to read and follow electrical wiring diagrams, PLC data on PC, blueprints and schematics, testing of electrical systems, HMIs, PLCs, SCADA Providing suggestions for equipment replacement. Adhering to safety and quality performance standards Repairs to electrical, PLC and mechanical control systems equipment including pneumatics and Hydraulics, steam. Inspecting and testing elements of electrical systems to locate and diagnose faults and malfunctions. Performing required repairs through replacement of inoperative parts or re-wiring of circuits in accordance with applicable Electrical Industry Codes. Carrying out PMs to reduce the need to purchase new / replacement electric motors by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing single and three-phase electric motors. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Electrical qualification within a manufacturing plant with a strong PLC software Programming background and Mechanical knowledge. Minimum 5 years experience in similar role in regulated manufacturing environment. Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health and Safety. Experience with planned preventative maintenance. Experienced in fault finding and problem solving through PLC and wiring drawing. Comprehensive Knowledge of high-speed electrical systems, automation and PLC based control systems, mechanical systems. Excellent communication skills.
