#SETUW Director of Capital Projects South East Technological University (SETU) is the first Technological University in the South East of Ireland with campuses in Waterford, Carlow, Wexford & Kilkenny. SETU currently has over 18,000 students and 1,800 staff. The Strategic Plan of SETU, Connecting for Impact 2023-2028, clearly defines the key enablers to achieve the Plan as including the development of new physical infrastructure to both accommodate growth and in support of regional development. Specifically, the Strategic Plan articulates the ambition of developing a complete master plan for SETU and to deliver new physical infrastructure to sustain and increase growth in student numbers and research activity. In order to support the realisation of these ambitions SETU intends to recruit a Director of Capital Projects in what will be a key strategic role for the University. Job Overview: The post holder will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the strategic capital development of the University. They will work closely with other members of the Executive Team in the realisation of the strategy and ambition of the University and in ensuring that the capital plans and developments are ambitious and innovative. The post holder will also be fully involved in the development of business cases for capital development, the identification of appropriate funding mechanisms, the governance and reporting requirements associated with capital development and liaising with appropriate stakeholders including funding bodies. They will be responsible for the delivery of state-of-the-art campus developments akin to the needs of Higher Education. All vacancies are advertised through this online recruitment system.
