Job Title: Mechanical Estimator Location: Co Cork, Ireland Experience: 3-5 Years Job Description: Our client is looking foran experienced Mechanical Estimator to join theirteam in Cork. The ideal candidate will be based in Ireland & have 3-5 years of experience in mechanical estimating within the construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries. This role involves preparing cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with internal teams to develop competitive proposals. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed mechanical cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs. Interpret drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine accurate pricing. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure cost-effective project execution. Analyze and evaluate project risks, contingencies, and cost-saving opportunities. Maintain and update a database of cost information for benchmarking future projects. Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and client requirements. Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in mechanical estimating within a relevant industry. Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
