The Mechanical Supervisor will oversee all mechanical works on site, ensuring compliance with project plans, safety standards, and quality requirements. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day mechanical construction, installation, and preservation activities in greenfield and brownfield projects within the petrochemical or oil and gas industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and Approval: Review all site work packs and mechanical construction sequencing. Approve permits and ensure compliance for all mechanical site activities.
  • Site Supervision: Oversee all site-based mechanical installations, preservation, and related activities. Monitor progress and ensure alignment between work packs and actual site work.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe working culture is practiced by all personnel on site. Guide and enforce adherence to HSE policies and standards.
  • Coordination and Reporting: Liaise between contractors and clients for approvals, signatures, and queries. Provide daily progress reports and updates to the Construction Manager.
  • Quality Control: Ensure completed works are in accordance with approved work packages and sign off upon completion. Identify and address misalignments or discrepancies in project execution.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Engineering degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the petrochemical industry (live plant experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical construction, installation, and preservation in oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
  • Familiarity with HSE standards and practices.
  • Preferred candidates: Local hires.
