Job Responsibilities

  1. To be an ambassador of the Front Office and the hotel, in and outside the workplace.
  2. To provide personal service to all guests, fully aware and following the hotel standards and procedures.
  3. To ensure that all guests receive a warm welcome and enjoy their stay, being offered the finest personal service.
  4. To personally greet and escort guests rather than pointing out directions.
  5. To ensure that the privacy of guests and the confidentiality of information is respected.
  6. To handle guest luggage and belongings carefully, storing them safely to avoid damage or loss.
  7. To assist guests with room changes in coordination with the Front Office department.
  8. To deliver messages, mail, parcels, newspapers, etc. to guests and hotel departments as per departmental standards and procedures.
  9. To be aware of the room setups and inform guests accordingly (rooming).
  10. To check cars and rooms for forgotten items and respect the Lost & Found procedures.
  11. To ensure uncompromising levels of cleanliness and maintenance of the workplace through personal responsibility.
  12. To properly use supplies and equipment and to request requisitions accordingly.
  13. To assist drivers, valet parking, and doormen in daily activities.
  14. To manage any guest complaint professionally, resolving it to guest satisfaction and recording it.
  15. To call the supervisor or manager for advice in serious cases or if approval is required.
  16. To be fully aware of and report all guest comments or complaints.
  17. To be aware of all VIPs visiting or staying in the hotel.
  18. To ensure proper use of telephone etiquette as per Sofitel standards.
  19. To read and update logbooks and ensure proper handover between shifts.
  20. To strictly respect key handling procedures.
  21. To respect schedules, terms, and deadlines as agreed with Management.
  22. To be aware of hotel outlet timings and promote internal activities and events.
  23. To attend daily line-up briefings with the Concierge team to recap tasks and activities.
  24. To share daily activity highlights with the supervisor, including internal and external guest opportunities.
  25. To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within different subsections of the Front Office Department.
  26. To carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Concierge Supervisor and Chief Concierge.
