Job details

The CFO will play a critical role in the establishment and growth of a newly created fintech company within our group . This individual will not only oversee the financial operations but will also be responsible for building and leading the finance team to support the company’s objectives. The ideal candidate will be a visionary finance leader with a deep understanding of the fintech industry, financial strategy, and organizational development. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the financial functions for the new fintech company, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with regulatory standards.
  2. Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and executive team to support decision-making, business growth, and financial health.
  3. Develop and implement the company's financial strategy, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
  4. Establish financial policies, systems, and controls for the new company in collaboration with the parent group.
Team Building and Leadership:
  1. Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance team, establishing key roles in finance, accounting, and reporting.
  2. Set up the financial operations from scratch, including ERP system implementation, accounting processes, and reporting structures.
  3. Ensure ongoing professional development of the finance team to drive excellence, efficiency, and scalability.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  1. Develop accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including monthly and quarterly financial statements.
  2. Analyze key financial data and operational metrics to provide insights on company performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
  3. Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity, ensuring the company’s financial stability and growth.
Capital Management and Fundraising:
  1. Oversee the management of the company’s capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
  2. Identify and pursue funding opportunities, working closely with investors and financial institutions.
  3. Prepare financial models to support fundraising initiatives and corporate financing strategies.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  1. Ensure the company is in compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
  2. Implement effective risk management strategies, including internal controls and audits.
  3. Work closely with the legal and regulatory teams to ensure the company’s operations are aligned with industry best practices.
Strategic Business Development:
  1. Collaborate with other business units to identify growth opportunities and operational efficiencies.
  2. Support the executive team in making strategic decisions that will drive the company’s expansion and profitability.
  3. Represent the finance department in executive and group-level meetings to influence business strategy.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a CFO, finance director, or senior finance role, preferably in the fintech or technology sector.
  2. Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
  3. Demonstrated ability to build and lead finance teams in a startup or growing organization.
  4. Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, and capital management.
  5. A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (MBA, CPA, SOCPA preferred).
