Summary: Supervises simulator maintenance, repair, installation, and operations of various types of electronic and electromechanical equipment and related devices. Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment operations through performance of organizational, intermediate, and preventive maintenance actions. Essential Duties And Responsibilities: Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers manuals or similar documents. Must be able to supervise and/or support training and/or engineering operations during different shifts to include weekends and Holidays. Audits the sites centralized maintenance logistics system. Works in close coordination with logistics parts ordering and repair to include proper documentation.
  • Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the inter-relationships of circuits. Exercises independent judgment in supervising the performance of tasks such as making circuit analyses, calculating waveforms, and tracing relationships in signal flow.
  • Supervises the use of various test equipment, such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and complex test instruments.
  • Supervises and operates Instructor Operator Station and Debrief Room in support of maintenance, troubleshooting, and aviator training.
  • Generates performance evaluations of subordinate personnel assigned to his or her shift of responsibility.
  • Responsible for duties as specified in the Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and other CAE Simulation & Training Plans.
  • Limited travel may be required.
Qualifications And Education Requirements:
  • Have completed at least one of the following: a BA degree in electronics technology; or received formal military electronics technical training; or obtained equivalent training/experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years simulator or aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Must possess, obtain, and maintain a CompTIA Security+ Certification.
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Preferred Skills:
  • Requires demonstrated experience in large scale, complex D/A integration; simulation; large scale, complex digital interfaces; and software maintenance.
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize, direct, and coordinate the assigned technicians.
Security Responsibilities: Must comply with all company security and data protection policies. Shall not divulge any information outside company without management approval. Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance. Work Environment: The working environment includes a large industrial area and shared office spaces. Workspace hazards include loud noises, mechanical operations, and high-voltage electrical systems. Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds overhead.
  • Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder into a simulator cockpit.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend and crawl on top or under the device.
