We are looking for a talented PE Mechanical and Ventilation Engineer to enhance our engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in contributing to the design, implementation, and optimization of mechanical systems, ensuring that our installations are efficient, reliable, and meet regulatory standards. Your expertise will be essential in developing ventilation strategies that enhance indoor air quality and ensure occupant comfort. As a Mechanical and Ventilation Engineer, you will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to deliver innovative solutions for diverse projects, ranging from commercial buildings to residential developments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review and oversee the design of mechanical systems, including HVAC and ventilation systems.
  2. Familiarity with tunnel and/or basement ventilation systems is a strong advantage.
  3. Conduct system performance analysis and recommend improvements.
  4. Collaborate with project teams to integrate mechanical systems into building designs.
  5. Prepare and review engineering calculations, specifications, and drawings.
  6. Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations in all designs and implementations.
  7. Design and oversee the development of mechanical and ventilation systems tailored to project specifications.
  8. Conduct detailed analyses including airflow and thermal load calculations to inform design choices.
  9. Ensure designs comply with local and international codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  10. Collaborate closely with architects, civil, and other engineering disciplines to integrate ventilation systems seamlessly into building designs.
  11. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation such as specifications, drawings, and technical reports.
  12. Lead testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities for mechanical and ventilation systems.
  13. Monitor system performance post-installation and propose enhancements for efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering with a specialization in ventilation systems.
  3. Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
  4. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC modeling programs.
  5. Thorough understanding of HVAC principles, building codes, and industry safety standards.
  6. Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team environment.
