Be responsible for managing all works related to lifting operations including Engineering, Planning, Technical, Organizing, Implementing & Monitoring with Project & Operation teams. Conduct routine checks and inspections of works on site to ensure compliance with authorities and clients' requirements. Must deal with the planning, design, and execution of operations involving the movement of extremely heavy or oversized loads. Responsible for providing credible and specialized engineering analysis to advise on the most optimum and cost-effective methods of utilizing required lifting equipment for critical operations.

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Study and be aware of project specifications related to lifting activities.
  2. Identify the lifting activities and their requirements such as load, height, etc.
  3. Prepare and follow the approvals of lifting plans and technical submittals as per the type of lifting and activities in coordination with Engineering, Safety, Environment, Quality, Project & Construction teams.
  4. Prepare checklists and implement the lifting works as per the lifting plan.
  5. Manage day-to-day lifting operations.
  6. Organize, supervise, and liaise closely with project and construction teams on all ongoing lifting activities.
  7. Conduct routine checks and inspections of works on site to ensure compliance with authorities and clients' requirements.
  8. Test materials and components used in structures and machinery.
  9. Review project safety (e.g. lifting plans, etc.).
  10. Ensure all relevant lifting equipment performance, certification, and condition data are recorded accurately for input into the Company's data recording system.
  11. Define standards for and participate in the monitoring and assessment of lifting operations.
  12. Contribute, in conjunction with HSE Dept., to the site's safety effectiveness through recommending improvements in procedures and work practices.
  13. Promote a continuous improvement culture within the team.
  14. Adhere to the Company's Health, Safety & Environment policies, procedures, and standards.
  15. Provide technical advice on matters pertaining to lifting operations deviations or non-compliance.
  16. Support Maintenance Teams as necessary in the detail and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance activities on all lifting equipment.
  17. Analyze the lifting reports and implement improvements as required.

Required Academic Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or any Engineering discipline.

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Heavy Lifting Operations with approved certificates.
