- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the Metcash Media strategy, aligning it with overall company goals and staying aware of emerging technologies and competitive trends.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and craft future strategies to drive growth for Metcash Media.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing media team, ensuring they meet campaign performance goals and foster a collaborative culture.
- Talent Management: Attract top talent, plan for succession, and maintain a safe, healthy work environment.
- Stakeholder & Client Relationships: Build and maintain long-term, profitable relationships with customers, suppliers, and agencies, while operating with integrity.
- Media Revenue & Profit Delivery: Establish sellable media assets and ensure revenue and profit targets are achieved.
- Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of media campaigns, ensuring data analytics inform strategies to maximise ROI/ROAS.
- Financial Management: Submit budgets, forecasts, and manage P&L to ensure financial targets are met while optimising spending.
- KPI & Performance Reporting: Establish KPIs, provide performance reports, and offer insights to clients and stakeholders to drive decisions and demonstrate value.
- Media leadership experience with a proven track record in building and running an efficient and profitable Media agency operation, ideally within a highly competitive market.
- Strong ability in creating and driving profitable sales growth strategies and managing a multitude of Media buying customers.
- Media agency or media publishing experience, managing large-scale campaigns across various media channels, including digital and retail media.
- Proficiency in leveraging automation tools and AI technologies for campaign planning and optimisation.
- Strong analytical ability to ensure performance reporting is robust from the outset.
- A demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence effectively.
- High level interpersonal, negotiation and relationship building skills.
- Results driven leadership style, and previous success in building a high performing, engaged team.
- The role will also require the individual to have highly developed change management skills.
- Exceptional business acumen with proven commercial and business planning skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Media and Communications, Business Management, Financial Management etc.) are preferred.
