HOMELESSNESS NSW Homelessness NSW is the peak body for homelessness in NSW. We exist to build the capability of people and the capacity of systems to end homelessness. We have a vision for a future where there is enough quality and safe housing and support services to ensure no one is homeless in NSW. We work with our members and broad network of partners to understand drivers of homelessness, advocate for solutions, build skills and knowledge, and scale innovation. ABOUT THE ROLE This role provides high level confidential administrative and operational support to the Chief Executive Officer helping her be effective, functional and responsive. Additionally, the role will liaise with senior managers, team members as well as a broad range of stakeholders including board members, government representatives and departments, other advocacy services, external businesses and relevant state and national organisations. KEY DUTIES: - Diary management for the CEO.
- Arrange and coordinate meetings including the distribution of agendas, attendance registers, minutes and papers for Executive, Board meetings and conferences including formatting, editing, proof reading and minute taking.
- Produce and organise high quality documentation and correspondence including internal documents, proposals, reports, power point presentations, and reports for meetings and stakeholder presentations.
- Organise travel bookings, accommodation and hire cars as required for CEO and other staff as directed.
- Process membership applications and advise new members about their applications for membership.
- Assist with events including booking of venues, confirming attendees, organising catering, general logistics and compilation of materials.
- Coordinate the administration of governance processes including invitations to attend meetings, agendas, minutes, call for nominations and elections in conjunction with the CEO.
- Assist in the development of systems and processes to make the office more effective.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (SELECTION CRITERIA) We are looking for an experienced individual who has had a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role supporting management, who has: - Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional organisation skills
- High level Microsoft Office 365 and confidence in systems management.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to meet deadlines with good attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to organise stakeholder meetings, conferences, and communication/consultation forums, including sourcing or preparing relevant documents, organising venues, catering, agendas, taking minutes and follow-up actions and making travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues of relevance, sensitivity and confidentiality and use of discretion in knowing when to escalate matters of importance and urgency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team.
- A sense of humour.
