Offer Description
Classification: Academic Level B Salary package: $115,739 - $131,227 per annum plus 17% superannuation Term: Full-time (part-time, job share or a gradual increase in hours will be considered), Continuing (contingent funded). This role is integral to the delivery and support of the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Radiation Innovation (RadInnovate). RadInnovate aims to build new capabilities for nuclear science and radiation by training the next generation of transdisciplinary leaders through the integration of core science, technology, regulation, governance and societal values. RadInnovate is led by ANU in partnership with the University of South Australia and the University of Adelaide, and with 15 industry and government partners on co-designed research projects in the areas underpinning nuclear science, technological innovation, and regulatory and social responsiveness, to equip Australian industries with a future-ready workforce. This Postdoctoral Research Fellow position will undertake independent research on co-designed industry projects, predominantly in the areas of Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) with a view to publishing original and innovative results in refereed journals. The position will also supervise RadInnovate Higher Degree Research (HDR) students and act as an interface between the HDR students and ITTC University and industry partners. The position will spend time in industry as part of the students’ industry placements and will be involved in all-of-centre activities.The Person
We are looking for a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently on high-quality research in collaboration with RadInnovate Chief Investigators and the ability to provide high-quality supervision of HDR students. Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management are key. We are looking for someone with a PhD in accelerator-based physics, ideally with experience in AMS.
