About the Role: The People Plugin is partnering with Hoses24 in their search for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) . This leadership role is pivotal in elevating the company’s day-to-day operations and ensuring that operational processes align with strategic goals to drive profitability and growth. The COO will oversee the Commercial, Resource Operations and Service Operations departments, optimise workflows, and ensure the company’s success in the fast-paced, high-demand environment of hoses and fittings solutions. This hands-on position requires a blend of strategic leadership, financial acumen, and operational excellence to make an impact on both internal teams and customers. With head office located in the Sunshine Coast, the successful incumbent will need to be based close to the area, or have the ability to regularly travel there and to key clients and sites. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations, drive efficiency, and ensure high-quality service delivery across all departments.
- Financial Management: Work with finance to manage budgets, track performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor department heads, ensuring alignment with goals and fostering growth within the team.
- Customer Focus: Ensure operational processes meet customer needs and collaborate with sales/marketing to enhance satisfaction.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and prepare for audits.
- Strategic Leadership: Strong experience leading teams and aligning operations with strategic objectives.
- Operational Excellence: Proven ability to optimise processes, improve productivity, and manage performance metrics.
- Financial Acumen: Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management for profitability.
- Team Development: Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with a focus on high-performance team development.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in industrial sectors is a plus, especially the hose fitting industry.
- Adaptability: Comfortable managing change and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Technology Integration: Familiarity with integrating technology to streamline operations and drive business performance.
