The Opportunity
Come join IGN as a Senior Manager of Creative Solutions. This role is responsible for leading IGN’s creative solutions campaigns in Australia. This will involve working with a variety of disciplines within the global team such as creative strategy, design, and production as well as collaborating with various units around the business such as sales, ad ops, social, product, and editorial. Creative Solutions has team members throughout the US, UK, and AU and is responsible for conceptualizing and delivering custom campaigns for IGN’s advertisers. Custom campaigns can include any combination of bespoke ad design, branded content, content sponsorship, events, product launches, and more; the successful candidate will be able to show that they have been responsible for both ideating around these concepts and being part of a team that has successfully delivered them. This is an IGN-focused position; however, it will also take lead on AU-based custom activity for brands within the wider Ziff Davis portfolio such as Mashable and PCMag. The role is 100% remote, however other team members are based in Sydney with the opportunity to meet in person available and encouraged.Key Responsibilities
- Generating and articulating ideas which appeal to IGN’s audience, hit our clients’ goals, and are a fit for IGN
- Overseeing and leading the execution and delivery of marketing campaigns that involve, but are not limited to, sponsorships, videos, custom advertising, events, and written articles
- Managing the promotion of client marketing campaigns through organic and paid amplification
- Leading communications with clients and internal teams throughout the lifecycle of a campaign, anticipating issues with a solutions-oriented approach
- Crafting go-to-market collateral and communications in conjunction with the sales teams
- Ensuring pitch ideas are correctly scoped, priced, and packaged
- Analysing campaign performance data and using it to inform decisions and make recommendations for future activity
- Developing and fostering great relationships with leaders of teams around the business
- Weekly budget and campaign activity reporting
- Establishing and continually evolving internal processes to keep up with changes and needs from inside and outside the organisation
- Overseeing production for local events
- Collaborating with international counterparts to develop a truly global, cohesive creative solutions department and campaigns
- Managing organic activity across AU-specific social channels (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok)
- Hiring, onboarding, and training new employees on the creative solutions AU team when needed
- When needed, managing and developing the creative teams responsible for driving and maximising IGN’s revenue through client programs
Job Qualifications
- Passion for IGN, its content, and its subject matter
- The ability to think imaginatively and understand how to practically deliver on ideas
- Ability to handle a large workload as well as troubleshoot and problem solve
- Experience in writing marketing copy - both B2B and B2C
- Great organisational skills - both in organising themselves and those around them
- Experience working on big, cross-department and cross-discipline projects
- Experience in line management
- Experience in social media marketing
- Experience in the content (written and video) production and design process for consumer-facing products
- Experience in analysing content performance and proposing optimisation possibilities
- A great eye for detail
- 5+ years experience working in digital media
- Experience working cross-timezone with global teams
- Experience working in, or with, the games, entertainment or FMCG sector
Work Environment:
- Work Schedule: 38 hours per week, M-F. From time to time, there may be an expectation for this role to work early mornings to have crossover with our team members working in the UK.
- Travel Requirements: Limited travel may be required.
- Physical Requirements: This role involves standard WFH office-based activities, including extended periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer.
- Work Model: This role is based in Australia, and will follow a remote work-from-home schedule.
