Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic radiation oncology senior medical physicist to join our multi-disciplinary team based in Christchurch, New Zealand. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking individual to grow their career in a team that is leading the way in cancer care in New Zealand. The role involves providing medical service support to the radiotherapy department on a day-to-day basis. You will have the opportunity to take part in the establishment of new techniques and development of our MR-Linac service. As a senior medical physicist, you will also be involved in the training of our registrar. Research opportunities may be available to the right candidate.

Desired Skills and Experience

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Essential skills/experience for the role:
  • An MSc or PhD in Medical Physics.
  • Professional registration from a recognized body.
  • Excellent all-round technical knowledge.
  • Capable of self-directed work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with MR would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Elekta equipment(s) would be a plus.
  • Interest in research and development is desirable.
  • Be flexible to meet the needs of our service.
