Internal Auditor

Job Description

• Assess existing internal controls and supporting documents to ensure they align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform regular audits and compliance tests to ensure that internal operations comply with relevant laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Provide recommendations for improvements or corrective actions where necessary.
• Review all company functions and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in developing and enhancing policies and procedures that ensure the company complies with relevant financial regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and other financial oversight regulations, while also enabling teams to meet business objectives effectively.
• Gather relevant data and evidence, conduct necessary tests, and analyze results to support audits and compliance checks. Ensure that the company’s internal audits adhere to relevant auditing standards and maintain the highest ethical practices.
• Implement the audit plan in accordance with the internal auditing policy while staying updated on the evolving regulatory environment and ensure the company maintains full compliance with all applicable laws.

Job Requirements

• University Degree, Bachelor of Accounting, Finance, Business administration or commerce, or related field.
• Auditing /risk management certifications is a plus.
• From 1 to 3 years of experience as an audit is a must, preferable microfinance or Audit companies.
