IT Systems Administrator (Evening Shift)

Digital Auxilius is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT System Administrator to join our team, who will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining hardware and software systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of IT systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, with or without a team. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have in-depth expertise in networking, security, and system administration. You will be responsible for configuring, securing, and troubleshooting FortiGate firewalls, Cisco networking and security equipment, Windows Server 2022 & 2025, and Linux servers . Your role will also involve ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and security compliance in alignment with industry best practices such as ISO 27001 . Key Responsibilities: Network & Security Management:

• Configure, monitor, and manage FortiGate firewalls , including VPNs, policies, and security profiles.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco networking and security equipment .
• Implement VLANs, network segmentation, and firewall rules to enhance security and performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Conduct regular network security assessments and vulnerability scans .

• Install, configure, and manage Windows Server 2022 & 2025 , including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Hyper-V.
• Configure and manage IIS (Internet Information Services) for web applications.
• Set up and maintain Network Load Balancing (NLB) in Windows Server for high availability.
• Administer Linux servers (Ubuntu, Red Hat) for applications, file sharing, and security hardening.
• Perform routine system patching, updates, and backups to ensure security and reliability.
• Configure and monitor Syslog, SNMP, and other system logs for proactive issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across servers and endpoints.

• Deploy and manage virtual machines (VMs) in Hyper-V, VMware, and cloud environments .
• Ensure system redundancy and disaster recovery using snapshots, backups, and replication strategies.
• Manage cloud services such as Azure AD, AWS, or Google Cloud as required.

• Support and maintain Windows, Linux, and macOS endpoints .
• Configure and manage remote access solutions (VPNs, RDP, SSH) .
• Implement IT security best practices , including endpoint protection, MFA, and access control.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, and other security frameworks .
• Implement security controls, endpoint protection, and network monitoring tools.
• Conduct regular security audits and incident response planning .

• Develop and maintain PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripts to automate administrative tasks.
• Automate system monitoring, reporting, and deployments to improve efficiency.

• 4+ years of experience in system administration, networking, and IT security.
• Hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls, Cisco networking and security equipment .
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2022 & 2025 administration .
• Proficiency in Linux server administration (Ubuntu, Red Hat) .
• Deep understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices) .
• Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware) .
• Familiarity with IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) .
• Strong troubleshooting, scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python), and automation skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations.

• Fortinet NSE4 or higher (FortiGate expertise)
• CCNA/CCNP (Cisco networking)
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Linux+
• ITIL Foundation (IT service management best practices)
