Electrical & Control Engineer Within our Power Generation & Utilities business, we deliver large-scale critical infrastructure projects that transform the reliability, availability, and efficiency of the energy network moving it towards a greener, more sustainable future. Projects include:
- High-Efficiency centralised power plants in hyperscale data centres
- Large-scale flexible peaking plants providing grid support when renewables are not available
- Embedded renewables
- National Utility projects to meet ambitious sustainability targets.
- Designing electrical control systems and instrumentation for power generation and energy systems.
- Developing detailed schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Producing drawings, wiring schematics, lists and data sheets using AutoCAD and EPLAN.
- Developing PLC and SCADA software for control and monitoring systems.
- Overseeing the installation of control systems and instrumentation equipment.
- Collaborating with technicians and contractors to ensure proper implementation.
- Undertaking Factory and Site Acceptance Testing.
- Commissioning of control systems in the field.
- Level 8 Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years' experience in electrical or automation engineering.
- PLC Programming Experience: Siemens/ Allen-Bradley/ Schneider.
- HMI / SCADA Experience: Siemens / Rockwell/ AVEVA / Schneider.
- Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring.
- Experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
- Knowledge and experience in the Energy sector would be advantageous but not essential.
