Territory: Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Brunei The Business Development Manager is to lead market expansion efforts and strategy in Central Asia for the Interventional Pain and Digestive Health Business at Avanos. The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying business opportunities, building strong relationships with distributors, KOLs and other key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth in the pain management sector. This position reports to the Sales Director, Central Asia. Key Responsibilities PLANNING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Develop a strategic business plan for each business to achieve short and long-term growth and market leading positions in the market. Establish a clear leadership position in key market segments through customer insights that identify significant gaps and lead to development solutions to these need gaps that are differentiable, protectable and offer a sustainable competitive advantage. Development of the annual sales plan including a comprehensive business assessment, defining strategic imperatives and outlining an executable sales tactical plan to achieve the annual budget. SALES OPERATIONS Achieve and exceed regional sales and financial budget and operational objectives. Drive growth on strategic focus products via increasing brand awareness and customer loyalty to Avanos Pain and Digestive products. Responsible for Sales Budgeting and Forecasting, including regional OPEX Planning. Closely monitor and gather competitor and market intelligence (e.g. market trends, market/product share, pricings, clinical practice, procedural knowledge, customer insights). Support identification of key growth opportunities, develop and execute innovative programs to drive growth and margin improvement associated with the product portfolio. Lead commercial, distributor and customer events and campaigns. Partner with Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance (RAQA) and Regional Marketing teams on product launch plan and manage product life cycle. DISTRIBUTOR / KOL KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT Develop and prepare presentation materials and sales tools, e.g. product presentations, business plan reviews, customer presentations, sales conference presentations, induction training. Organize and conduct product training to direct customers and distributors, not limited to educational and clinical workshops. Qualifications / Education / Experience / Skills Required Minimum of 9 years of commercial sales in the medical device industry. Knowledge of pain management or digestive products categories in the healthcare market highly desirable. Experience creating clinical acceptance and driving adoption of new treatments, therapies, technologies. Working experience with MNC’s and ability to navigate APAC and global stakeholders, and leverage resources and support for the (ASEAN, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea) business. Highly resilient, with a personal style that thrives under the pressure to meet financial targets, quarter to quarter. Business, medical or science qualification would be desirable, with a history of continual professional development.
