Account Director Dublin / Hybrid | Competitive Salary DOE Are you an experienced agency leader looking for your next big challenge? We the People, one of Ireland’s most exciting strategic communications agencies, is looking for an Account Director to join our award-winning team. We work exclusively on projects that drive positive social impact , partnering with public sector bodies, NGOs, and advocacy organisations to create high-profile campaigns that change minds, attitudes, and behaviours . We’re seeking an exceptional client leader with at least 7 years of agency experience , who is passionate about strategic communications, client relations, and business growth . You’ll be a natural problem solver and mentor , working seamlessly with clients, creatives, and junior team members to deliver outstanding campaigns . This role is for someone with ambition , innovation , and the drive to shape the future of our agency and the sector . Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop client relationships, ensuring strategic excellence and high-impact results
- Oversee multi-channel campaigns across PR, digital, social, and traditional media
- Provide leadership to account managers and junior team members , nurturing talent and maintaining high standards
- Manage budgets, resources, and timelines across multiple projects
- Drive new business development , leading pitches and securing high-value opportunities
- Stay ahead of trends and innovations in communications, marketing, and digital strategy
- 7+ years of agency experience (PR, marketing, digital, or communications)
- Proven leadership ability – managing teams, clients, and complex campaigns with confidence
- Outstanding client relationship skills – strategic, proactive, and solutions-driven
- A track record in business development – identifying and securing new opportunities
- Excellent writing, media, and digital expertise – across press, content, and multi-channel platforms
- Strong strategic mindset – able to develop and implement high-impact communications strategies
- Passion for agency life and a positive, ambitious attitude
