Technician

Colton Motors is currently looking to recruit for an experienced Technician to join our talented team at our Mullingar location. 40 Hour working week (Monday- Friday). JobPurpose To diagnose, repair and service the range of Ford and SEAT products in accordance with Ford and SEAT work specifications, ensuring each customer receives excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Through the use of diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosedandrectified.Meetwithcustomerstoidentifyandclearlyunderstandproblemsasandwhen required. Ensurefullunderstanding oflatesttechnology introducedonthevehiclerangeandhowtodiagnose and repair faults on them. Carryoutdiagnosis,repairsandservicingtothehigheststandardsandtotheappropriate specification. Ensureallworkiscarriedoutobservingsafeworkingpracticesofselfandothers. Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified. Check level andquality ofwork through useof diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with Service Manager / Advisor. Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDIs, service reports) in line with HSO, warranty and Brand / Dealer requirements. Ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools. The ideal candidate for this role will; Bequalified,holdingrelevantcertification. BefamiliarwithFord&SEATbrands. Becompetentintheuseofdiagnosticequipment. Havetheabilitytocompleteworkinatimelymannerwithstrongattentionto detail. Havetheabilitytoworkaspartofateam. Havegoodcommunicationskills. Arecomputerliterate,familiaritywithKerridge/CDKispreferential.
