Description Job Background/Context: Citi are undertaking a multi-year initiative to upgrade their structured products front-to-back infrastructure. The IT team is a key partner to the business and is a major contributor to its success and future growth. To support the structured products business growth plan additional funding is being invested in technology and several new and exciting projects have been initiated. In line with this initiative, the Global Equities Technology Department are currently looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst in Singapore to become a key member of the Global Structured Products platform team. Job Purpose: Citi are looking for a Business Analyst (VP Level) to work on a new structured products front to back platform. The successful candidate will need excellent communication and analytical skills and the ability to quickly learn and deliver quality business requirements analysis and documentation. They will need drive and commitment to co-ordinate work effort to achieve required project objectives. The candidate will report to the Singapore Lead with a Functional reporting to the BA lead based in London. Key Responsibilities: Stakeholder management – Middle office, Legal, Front Office, Treasury, Technology Problem definition & requirements gathering User story capture & documentation Process & workflow documentation & re-engineering Data analysis Test case definition & testing co-ordination across multiple areas, products and regions in conjunction with QA counterparts. Project management including, but not limited to status reporting, milestone, risk and issue management Assist Production support in investigating any issues Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple management teams and other units to meet organizational objectives Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems and industry standards Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions Supervise day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management, work allocation, mentoring/coaching and other duties and functions as assigned Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Development Value: Excellent opportunity to work on the most significant initiative in MAG Technology Increase knowledge covering many different business areas Work closely with several different Citi business and technology areas Knowledge/Experience: 10+ years working as a Business Analyst, with some project management experience Extensive knowledge of derivative products (preferably Structured products), Trade Management, Lifecycle & Corporate Actions Strong analytical background particularly in relation to data analysis Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle from inception to maturity, as well as key regulatory requirements Previous experience of the full project lifecycle Experience working with globally distributed development teams Proven track record of delivering complex global projects Basic knowledge of data modelling Ability to navigate a database and use SQL to extract data Formal project management Good working knowledge of Excel, Visio, JIRA & Confluence.
