We are a Managed IT Services company based in Claregalway (Galway). We are seeking a motivated engineer – with at least 4 years’ experience. If you are a driven and skilled IT professional, with a strong customer focus and experience in both remote support and on-site projects, this is a superb opportunity to continue to make use of your skills in a multitude of environments. This role will entail both office-based remote support and attendance at customer sites across Galway for project-based deployments. You will work across our diverse client base, providing IT support to SMEs. This role will suit someone that has already gained hands-on knowledge and experience in their IT career and is looking to build upon their proven core IT knowledge, and become a bona fide expert in their field. General Experience (Must Have):
- At least 4 years of providing IT Support in a helpdesk or related role with both remote working & on-site experience.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with a positive "can do" attitude towards work, and towards our clients.
- Robust troubleshooting and strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable with both working within a team and working on your own initiative.
- The ability to deal effectively with people at different levels and in different situations.
- Full, clean and valid Irish or EU driving licence.
- Remote Management & Monitoring (RMM) systems.
- Helpdesk ticketing systems.
- Setting up new laptops, desktops, servers & NAS devices, to a specific customised software configuration for our clients.
- Must be thoroughly comfortable with Microsoft Windows operating systems and their operation, including installation, support & maintenance.
- Microsoft Office Deployment especially Office 365 Cloud and Exchange Online.
- VoIP Telephony (Virtual PBX & Handset setups, Yealink).
- Wi-Fi Equipment.
- Installing Firewalls and Networking Equipment.
- A Technical Diploma or Certifications (A+, Network+, Security+, MTA, MSCE).
- Monday to Friday.
