We are looking for a Housing Supervisor to attend to all types of repairs and maintenance required in the staff housing premises in accordance with the standards. This role promotes the desired work culture around the five core values of Do The Right Thing, Show We Care, Aim Higher, Celebrate Differences, Work Better Together, and Service of the InterContinental Hotels. A little taste of your day-to-day: Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Attending to various types of repairs and maintenance in the staff housing, including equipment in the office.
Carrying out repairs and maintenance of locks, door closers, and sliding door mechanisms.
Carrying out maintenance on electrical wiring and faults in the staff housing.
Maintaining all AC units, washing machines, and dryers in the staff housing, including the staff cafeteria.
Carrying out repairs and maintenance of domestic hot/cold water systems, including the installation of water heaters.
Executing pipe and fitting jobs, and repairing and maintaining shared bathrooms/toilets as per required standards.
Installing vinyl floor tiles and false ceilings.
Repairing damaged surfaces, which may include concrete, plastering, stonework, block work, wall and floor ceramic tiling, and marble works.
Cleaning all manholes and clearing sewage and stormwater line blockages using a snaker machine.
Attending to repairs and painting of all surface walls, facades, ceilings, and equipment in the staff housing.
Reporting and logging maintenance requests.
Preparing repairs and maintenance reports on a weekly basis.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, utilized significantly when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees, and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the Company.
Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and organizational abilities.
Willingness to work weekends and/or holidays as required.
