  1. Accountable for the strategic planning, scheduling, administration and implementation of the Rehabilitation program of LPG, products, water and crude oil storage tanks in NGL complex and tank farm in Mesaieed as well as pipelines associated with the crude oil and gas transmission & distribution systems.
  2. Responsible for the execution of desludging & cleaning operations of all types of tanks in preparation for internal inspections, rehabilitation, and demolition or for maintaining tanks designed storage capacity.
  3. Responsible for the decommissioning, demolition and removal of abandoned pipeline or replacement of defective/corroded pipeline sections including pigging, cleaning and inerting of such pipeline.
  4. Fully responsible for the development, preparation, compilation and production of tanks/pipeline rehabilitation SOW, technical specifications, engineering design and drawings covering mechanical, instrument, electrical and civil work.
  5. Plays key roles in all tendering stages including technical and commercial evaluation up to contract award.
  6. Prepares material specifications, evaluates technical offers and makes recommendations on vendor selection.
  7. In charge of any construction work and engineering/design of tank-related accessories & piping during rehabilitation work, from conceptual design to commissioning.
  8. Reviews and approves conceptual design and detailed engineering to ensure that tanks/pipelines and related equipment are built and engineered in compliance with approved corporation standards, International Design Standards and Codes of Practices to guarantee that operations and maintenance requirements, technical quality, optimum safety, safe environment and cost effectiveness are implemented and adequately met.
  9. Develops, formulates long term strategies & implements maintenance procedures for storage tanks and pipeline to ensure equipment and pipeline integrity, reliability, availability and longevity.
  10. Provides technical specialist support on storage tanks and pipelines to Gas operations and tank farm operations as well as maintenance/field support engineering in troubleshooting major storage tank and pipeline problem areas.
  11. Accountable for estimate and initiation of budget proposals regarding new projects and thereafter controlling and monitoring expenditure for such budget based on accurate execution progress and Contract payment clauses.
Required Experience and Skills Minimum of 10 years experience in Mechanical Engineering and Equipment Maintenance work, with at least 5 years spent in the erection and repair of large storage tanks as well as pipeline within the oil, gas and petrochemical industry with a background in managing multidisciplinary project working teams. Should be fully familiar with the requirement of Engineering Standards including API 620/650/653 and Corporate Engineering Standards related to above ground welded storage tanks. Also a level of experience on Maintenance Planning, cost control exposure and computer Management Systems. Educational Qualifications B.Sc or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university, followed by specification Engineering courses and/or courses/studies in structural design and mechanical fabrication. #J-18808-Ljbffr
