Senior Planning engineer - Site

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer Site to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the planning and scheduling of large-scale construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using advanced planning software such as Primavera P6.
• Analyze project timelines, identify potential delays, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure efficient resource allocation and utilization.
• Conduct regular progress reviews and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management.
• Perform risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address potential issues.
• Optimize site operations and logistics to improve project efficiency.
• Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
• Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to coordinate work schedules and resolve conflicts.
• Implement best practices in construction planning and scheduling across multiple projects.
• Mentor junior planning engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling, with a focus on large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in project management software, particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, resource optimization, and cost control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery within time and budget constraints.
• Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent is highly desirable.
• In-depth understanding of construction industry standards, site operations, and contract management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Willingness to work onsite and travel as required for project needs.
