Senior / Principal User Experience Designer

Senior Product Experience Designer – Construction & Engineering Driven by the need to become more efficient, smarter and sustainable, the Construction Industry worldwide is going through enormous change. As a Senior Product Experience Designer, you are responsible for the end-to-end product experience servicing a complex and highly visible domain. Key responsibilities

1. Design elegant user-friendly software to transform the Construction Industry to be more efficient, lean and green.
2. Work closely with users, PX team colleagues and Construction Industry experts in the broader team to identify core pains and goals.
3. Create designs and artefacts that help solve identified problems, which will be validated and iterated on quickly based on user feedback.
4. Communicate your research, explorations, and conclusions to your team and others across the organization.
5. Collaborate with the engineers and product managers to deliver elegant solutions to our customers while balancing the need for quality and consistency against business and technical needs.

Your future team Over 1000 designers worldwide work for Oracle. We’ve won prestigious awards for our Redwood Design System and are not content with having the best enterprise app experiences - we want to create the best application experiences period. The global Construction and Engineering PX team partnering with the global Energy & Water team (which you’ll be a part of) is made up of 40+ designers based in the US, Europe, Australia and India. We support whichever way works best for you, whether it be remote or hybrid. The Australian PX team is a diverse and tight knit bunch that have each other’s best interests at heart. We catch up at least once a week to share and get feedback on our designs and we meet up in person for team lunches and events. What will your day look like On any given day you’ll be working with colleagues and customers from all around the world. It may be to discuss a design pattern with a PX team member in the US, it may be to liaise with engineers in Australia or India or it may be to conduct a research interview with a user in Europe or the Middle East. Each day you’ll be spending time collaborating with your agile scrum team made up of Project Managers, Engineers and QAs. What you’ll bring

1. At least 4-5 years working in a professional UX design role, creating low to high fidelity designs to communicate concepts, flows and patterns to delivery teams and stakeholders.
2. Proven track record of working on released products.
3. Experience with planning, conducting and synthesizing user research (interviews, usability testing).
4. Experience with Figma, Sketch or other design tools.
5. Ability to present and defend design decisions.

Desirable

1. Experience working in an agile environment.
2. Enterprise/SAAS product experience.
3. Experience working on products servicing the Construction Industry.
