Our client, a global investment bank, are actively seeking an algo developer to join their technology team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance their trading strategies and optimize performance. As a Algorithmic Developer with a strong Java background, you will design, implement, and optimize algorithmic trading solutions. You will work closely with quantitative analysts, traders, and other developers to create and enhance trading algorithms that drive their trading operations. The role:
- Develop, test, and maintain algorithmic trading strategies using Java.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts to translate trading models into efficient, robust algorithms.
- Optimize existing algorithms for performance and scalability in a high-frequency trading environment.
- Implement and enhance trading infrastructure, including connectivity to exchanges and execution systems.
- Monitor and analyze trading performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development and testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in algorithmic trading development, with a focus on Java.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, trading concepts, and algorithmic trading strategies.
- Proficient in designing and implementing low-latency, high-performance systems.
- Familiarity with multi-threading, concurrency, and distributed systems in Java.
- Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data structures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) is a plus.
- Familiarity with tools and frameworks for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) advantageous.
