Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: The Senior Specialist, Transportation assumes the responsibility for driving the maximization of customer service, KPIs and transport efficiencies across the transportation network in Australia. Create visibility through dashboards to support Sr. Manager and Department head in decision making. Collaborates with PAC SCM team to implement SCM blueprint in the market. Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting transportation data analytics and cost research.
- Support to Transportation Manager with other Projects and DC activities.
- Preparing monthly reports on operational and financial metrics.
- Seek continuous improvements in terms of utilization, frequency, and lead times.
- Maintenance and development of metrics for transportation analysis.
- Liaison with business SMEs in regional clusters to foster professional development and expertise.
- Driving analysis relating to Tenders and associated recommendations.
- 3PL providers (Warehousing, Transport, Documentation and Clearance).
- Market relationship (Stores, Sales, Customers Service & Team).
- Retail, Wholesale and eCom Channels.
- Financial Controlling.
- Global Process team.
- Good understanding and experience in an operational supply chain process environment, understanding business requirements and capabilities needed.
- Good SAP expertise (added advantage).
- High degree of self-motivation and self-management.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Operations as well as commercial mindset.
- Demonstrating initiative and acting result oriented.
- Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively and efficiently on different layers of the organization.
- Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
- Fluent in English (written and oral), to present information.
- Familiarity with OHS, transportation legislation and associated Chain of Responsibility requirements.
- University degree (ideally business or logistics) or equivalent education preferable.
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 in the consumer goods industry (with a focus on management of 3rd party warehousing and distribution contracts, supply chain management, logistics etc.).
