Join us in leading our team of compassionate nurses in delivering professional evidenced based care, utilising your previously acquired knowledge and clinical skill set to guide, support and grow the next generation of expert Intensive Care nurses.
About the role
Based at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital, this position is for a Level 3 Clinical Educator role in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The role is an integral part of our team’s development, with a focus on clinical growth and ongoing excellence in care delivery. The Clinical Educator is pivotal in providing the educational requirements of new and existing staff, and will work closely with the ICU Clinical Manager and Director of Clinical Services. The Clinical Educator leads and supports the team by actively providing the necessary learning opportunities for staff by using a variety of teaching strategies, and supports the delivery of safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-centric environment.Key Responsibilities
- Delivery of Unit Induction for new staff
- Support new graduates in their ICU rotation
- Supporting RNs undertaking their post graduate ICU studies
- Planning and implementation of education programs to develop staff and build workplace capacity
- Mandatory training and competency assessments for core skills in keep with Calvary and NSQHS standards
What you bring
- Minimum 6 years post graduate experience in ICU
- Current AHPRA Registration, with nil restrictions
- Post Graduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing
- Evidence of leadership skills with Level 3 experience desirable
- Ability to deliver creative, innovative and flexible education within a dynamic work environment
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or post graduate university education qualification or willing to work towards
