Group Finance Manager

Reporting directly to the CFO & managing a small team, this position is a critical role in securing long-term success for the company. About the Role You will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the organisation, conducting accurate data analysis, and offering advice to management on strategies to maximise profits. To succeed in the role, you will have a proactive attitude, strong work ethics, be well organised, and possess the ability to plan ahead and solve problems, along with a strong safety focus and clear communication skills. Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Mentoring the finance team, distribution of workload, and due dates
• Ensuring finance team are cross-trained and have up-to-date work instructions
• Mentoring and coaching the team on statutory and analytical reporting
• Monthly Financial & Management reporting to trial balance
• Providing support to Operational Managers with understanding financials and key metrics
• Commentary on monthly financial results
• Ensuring month-end close-off process is met within published timeframes
• Overseeing budget process, reforecasts, and consolidation
• Balance Sheet budgets for consolidation and cash flow, 3-way forecast
• Overseeing the calculation of all client rates and contracts
• Annual review of insurance requirements
• Risk Review as the group grows

About You Successful candidates will have experience/skills in the following:

• Current Drivers Licence
• Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or similar
• Competent with MYOB EXO, Word, and Excel
• Strong statutory and management reporting skills
• Previous experience in a similar position
• Ability to meet established deadlines while maintaining professionalism
• Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality
• Ability to adapt positively to changing plans or ideas
