Remote Sensing Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Analyze data obtained from aircraft, satellites, or ground-based platforms using image analysis software and GIS to create geospatial databases and maps
• Develop specialized computer software routines to customize and integrate image analysis
• Research and/or develop image analysis processes and methodologies for various use cases/applications
• Develop and/or maintain geospatial information databases
• Produce high-quality maps that integrate data from different sources
• Create appropriate symbology, map elements, and layout design
• Assist IT Developer in GIS and Remote Sensing related projects
• Provide technical support to end users
• Advise management on technical aspects of system performance and operation

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Geodetic Engineering, Information Technology or any related courses
• Has a basic understanding of GIS and geospatial technologies
• Understands Image Processing, Remote Sensing principles, and Image Analysis
• Able to use relevant computer applications and productivity software
• Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
• Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact with technical and non-technical customers and teammates to understand their technical issues, frame potential solutions and develop collaborative projects
