Responsibilities
- Maintain the security and networking devices and upgrade when necessary
- Providing support for other engineers on PA equipment/software
- Cross train in-house to share knowledge and share workload
- Suggest and detail design changes as and when needed
- Documentation for the installations and provide continue service advice
- Pro-actively review and maintain infrastructure
- Performing effective troubleshooting and responding to incidents during the word day.
- Knowledge of protocols BGP, TRUNKS, VLANs, Port-Channel, Static routing
- Networking topologies and protocols. Examples being MPLS, VRF, SIP, Traffic Shaping / QoS
- Palo Alto Command line
- Palo Alto expertise in design, configuration, migrations, tuning and customization of features
- Thorough knowledge of Panorama, Global Protect, and other Palo Alto features including and not limited to SSL decryption
- Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analysers
