Senior Site Engineer Location: County Laois Salary: €60,000 - €75,000 (depending on experience) We are currently working with a well-established and fast-growing Main Contractor based in the Laois region, Renowned for delivering a diverse range of residential and commercial projects across the Leinster area. This company has a strong track record with high-profile clients and offers long-term development opportunities. This exciting role will involve working on a new, large-scale development set to run for a minimum of two years. We are looking for a Senior Site Engineer to join the team and take a lead role in ensuring the successful delivery of the project. About the Role: You will play a key role in managing and overseeing the on-site construction activities. This includes liaising with the design team, architects, and subcontractors, as well as leading a team of junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in overseeing the technical aspects of commercial builds, ensuring that all works are carried out efficiently and to the highest standards. Successful individual will be supported by a setting out engineer. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks to ensure the construction work meets regulatory requirements and industry standards. Collaboration with Design Teams: Work closely with architects, engineers, and design teams to resolve any technical issues that arise on-site, ensuring effective solutions. Team Management: Lead a team of junior engineers and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of daily tasks and project milestones. Health & Safety: Oversee and enforce strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations on-site. Progress Monitoring: Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure the project is on track, identifying potential delays or risks early and providing mitigation strategies. Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure smooth communication and efficient project delivery. Requirements: A Degree in Engineering (or a related discipline). At least 5 years of experience in a Site Engineering role with a Main Contractor. Demonstrable experience in commercial construction projects. Familiarity with working alongside Irish Water and other local authorities. A hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving and site management. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Why This Role?
