Employee Wellness Programme (EWP) Consultant
A suitably qualified and registered psychologist, social worker, or registered counsellor (YES position) will perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the role of EWP Consultant. This will include telephonic psychosocial counselling and case management duties, duties associated with the provision of managerial EWP services, the management of cases that require specialist case management, and the provision of input into and contribution towards a wide range of other activities associated with the services provided by the EWP team. Reporting Structure The EWP Consultant will report to the EWP Supervisor. The EWP Supervisor reports to the Senior Manager: Counselling Services. The Senior Manager: Counselling Services reports to the Managing Director: Universal Corporate Wellness. Duties and Responsibilities- Monitoring of EWP lines and EWP system to ensure availability and continuity of the service.
- Receiving calls that come into the Wellness Care Centre, assessing needs, identifying behavioural risk, and conducting telephonic psychosocial counselling for eligible individuals in accordance with short-term, solution-focused counselling principles.
- Referral of cases as indicated for face-to-face/virtual and case management of referred cases to ensure adherence to protocols and processes.
- Duties associated with managerial support services (informal and formal referral and managerial consultation).
- The management of cases that require specialist case management, such as high-risk cases.
- Creating comprehensive and accurate case records on the EWP system reflecting all interactions with service users and network providers.
- Receiving feedback from Afterhours Consultants and ensuring handovers are properly performed and lines are tested.
- Contribution towards the development of documents, products, services, and protocols relevant to the activities of the department.
- Conducting orientation training as required.
- Engagement with relevant team members and the Networks team to support the expansion of the psychosocial provider network.
- Development of psychosocial training material and conducting psychosocial training as required.
- Engagement with other third-party providers and other stakeholders as required.
- Additional research towards the development of products and services.
- Qualified and registered with HPCSA as a Clinical, Counselling or Industrial Psychologist or Registered Counsellor or qualified and registered with SACSSP as a Social Worker.
- Qualification and registration as a psychologist will be advantageous.
- For Social Workers, a Master’s degree in Occupational Social Work will be an advantage.
- Experience in the EWP field will be advantageous.
- Should have a valid driver’s license and own transport.
- Willing and able to work shift hours and remotely if required.
- Good problem-solving ability.
