Job Title: Executive (Academic Talent Development & Support) Posting Start Date: 05/08/2024 Job Description The successful candidate will be part of a larger team to manage key Academic Talent Development programmes and engagement of faculty and pipeline. This involves working closely with key stakeholders, including senior management, clinician leaders, faculty and staff from across the Academic Clinical Programmes (ACP), and drivers in education, research and other domains across both organisations. This position reports to the Team Lead of Academic Liaison and Strategic Relations under the oversight of the Deputy Director of Academic Programmes Management Department. The work responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Responsibilities Academic Medicine (AM) Named Donor Distinguished & Faculty Professorships Coordinate the planning and implementation of AM Named Donor Professorships which includes the nomination and renewal of professorships. Manage and track funds and academic support. Review and operationalise engagement process. Support opportunities for thought-leadership and academic sharing. Tenure Track/Tenured Faculty Support Coordinate mentoring and review meetings for Tenure Track Faculty/Nominees. Liaise with faculty and ACPs/stakeholders on admin processes. Secretariat support to Mentoring and Review Committees. Engagement of Tenure Track/Tenured Faculty. Oversee support and reimbursements of academic support for Tenured Faculty. Academic Peer Support Groups Coordinate Peer Support Groups for faculty and stakeholders. Secretariat support for respective peer support groups. Communications Support and Engagement Work as part of the team to oversee development of key collaterals and toolkits for academic clinicians and talent stakeholders to promote understanding of academic initiatives and to showcase outcomes. Oversee development of key academic talent news and updates to enhance the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medicine Centre (AMC) website as a one-stop AM resource. Work as part of the joint team and broader Joint Office of Academic Medicine-APMD to organise events and academic sharing platforms across the AMC. Support talent engagement initiatives such as MD-PhD student and graduate engagement. Clinician Investigator Advancement Programme and Clinical Trialist Development Programme Manage the planning and implementation of the programme to give recognition and support to this special group of clinician researchers, while engaging the broader AM community. Monitor outcomes and review progress. Streamline award administration for greater efficiency and timeliness. Operationalise engagement process and support opportunities for recognition, academic sharing and raising awareness of clinician researchers and their various contributions in the AMC. Develop and roll out Academic Talent Development Schemes Devise strategies and develop processes, policies and structures to support the implementation of Academic Talent Development schemes. Plan and engage ACPs and stakeholders on any new Academic Talent Development schemes. Provide support to awardees and academic talent groups. Draft staff papers or proposals and prepare materials to management/forums for approval/endorsement. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein or as assigned by the Department. Job Requirements Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience. Strong track record of stakeholder management and driving multi-faceted projects with good outcomes. Prior experience in managing grants/funds/budgets, research/education projects and/or faculty matters would be advantageous. Possess good organisational skills and able to carry out analytical and coordination work. An energetic, self-driven individual with a high emotional and adversity quotient. An independent worker who is also a team player and strong collaborator who possesses the initiative to complete tasks and projects assigned. Knowledge of design, communications and website management with a flair for website flow. Excellent command of written and spoken English. Proficient in general software applications such as Microsoft Office, Acrobat and Photoshop that facilitate work operations. We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
