Position:Site Manager Main Purpose of the Role: To manage a site workforce in a safe and diligent manner, to the highest possible standard, on time and in line with the Programme, specification and design information provided. Responsible to:Contracts Manager/ Project Manager Department: Site Operation & Logistics Direct Subordinates: Engineers , Sub contractors. Works in Conjunction with: Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Quantity Surveyors, Health & Safety Advisor, Site Engineers, Nominated Sub Contractors Duties & Responsibilities : Overseeing construction operations on a designated site. Ensuring that work complies with building regulations. Working with an appointed safety manager to ensure all safety regulations are being adhered to. Co -Ordinating day to day site activities and nominated sub-contractors. Liaising with Head office to ensure materials and labour are requested to site when required. Carrying out Daily & weekly safety checks and ensuring appointed sub-contractors are adhering to safety protocol. Monitoring the construction programme and enabling the subcontractors to carry out their works in accordance with their contract programme. Ensuring quality checks are carried out at various stages of the build & ensuring QA checks are being carried out. Liaising with Local authority representatives and assigned certifiers to obtain handover of completed phases. Dealing with any day-to-day issues which could hold up work as they arise. Liaising closely with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyors regarding budgets. Working closely with junior staff, Sub Contractors, engineers, and external utility companies. Updating and reporting back to head office regularly on progress. Liaising with clients and keeping them updated on progress and upcoming milestones. Embrace digital technology & Modern Methods of Construction systems used by company.
