Department: Risk Location: Shannon Description Role Purpose Analysis and management of the pertinent risks across a subset of the elfc portfolio. Key responsibilities will include analysing credit risk of airlines & non-airline customers, assessing engine asset risk, and optimising transaction structuring. Take all factors into consideration regarding the impact on the risk of the wider portfolio. Role Responsibilities
- Key responsibilities include the management and assessment of credit risk and deciding appropriate actions based on established policies and guidelines.
- Analysing engine investment characteristics, associated asset risk, forecasting out asset valuations and planning engine management strategies.
- Conducting financial analysis, and completing overall counterparty risk analysis, to assess projected operating performance and repayment capacity.
- Perform due diligence (both on-site and remotely) and evaluate a range of transactions across a spectrum of customers and regions.
- Prepare detailed transaction applications evaluating customer strategies, competitive positioning and forward-looking expected performance.
- Responsible for active monitoring of customer, market and economic factors which may influence lease risk, and drive appropriate management of customer risk.
- Providing key information to elfc Senior Management to enable them to make optimal approval decisions.
- Aiding the Sales team in originating new lease transactions, mitigating risk and finding solutions in structuring new transactions.
- Coordination of Risk related information and provision to other departments. Working with other functional areas in transaction deal teams to achieve desired results.
- Assist in the provision of portfolio information to the shareholder, participation in regular meetings with the shareholder and engagement in value-added Q&A.
- Complete customer annual reviews for assigned portfolio on a scheduled & ad-hoc basis.
- 2-5 years work experience in a financial services environment.
- At least a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Risk, Finance, Economics) or related field.
- Demonstrated high level of credit and general analytical skills.
- Willingness and capability to travel to complete on-site due diligence meetings as required.
- Ability to both work under pressure and meet deadlines, and also help team mates to achieve the same.
- Relevant Risk Management / Financial analysis experience.
- An understanding of the aviation industry.
- Proficiency in a 2nd language (e.g. Mandarin) would be an advantage.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic, team player with willingness and ability to show initiative.
- Experienced Excel and financial modelling skills and abilities.
- Ability to use and interpret key data to make recommendations to Senior Management.
- Time management / organisation skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
