Senior/Residential Care Aide (Sunbeam Place)

Job Responsibilities Provide supervision, caregiving, and guidance for the children and young persons, taking care of their physical and psychological needs. Ensure the smooth running of the Home by providing a healing/therapeutic, clean, safe, and healthy living environment. Provide support to the anchor on Emotional Regulation Drill to help residents control impulsive behaviours when distressed. Assist residents with daily personal routines, including dressing, grooming, eating, and using the bathroom. Ensure residents attend school. Account for residents’ movements and update accordingly in the Home Management System. Provide companionship to residents and establish a trusting relationship with them. Adopt Trauma-Informed care by rewarding and encouraging residents for their good behaviour. Support the anchor in instilling discipline to ensure the proper maintenance and cleanliness of the bedroom, dormitory, and common areas. Plan and coordinate the daily routine or programmes for the residents. Escort and supervise youths and children to and from the clinic, hospital, school, or to attend programmes and activities outside the Home. Ensure residents take their prescribed medication. Ensure residents’ needs are well taken care of. Report any concerns, incidents, or medical issues. Respond to incidents and report accordingly. Perform any other duties assigned. Requirements Minimum GCE ‘A’ Level or college diploma in home country. Able to read, write, and converse in English. A degree in nursing, teaching, or other related fields from home country. Able to work flexible hours. Passionate and patient in working with children and young persons. Able to work independently, with a pleasant disposition and good working relationships with other departments’ staff. Good interpersonal skills to provide emotional support for children. Strong morals and ethics, along with a commitment to children. Working hours subject to roster, requiring night shifts. Reside in Sunbeam Place. #J-18808-Ljbffr
