Senior Associate - Energy & Commodities

Huxley Associates MENA have registered a new position which we wanted to inform you about.

Senior Associate:

Main Activities:

1. Develop and adjust pitching documents based on Senior Banker's, Senior RM's and Business Line inputs.
2. Gather all relevant data from internal and external sources to develop pitching documents (Industry data, financial elements, etc).
3. Can interface directly with junior client contacts to collect specific data needed for the pitch.
4. Originate, coordinate and support flow business on relationships for which senior bank has primary responsibility.
5. Ensure day-to-day coordination of Business Line resources.
6. Gather and analyze client related data to support the commercial strategy definition.
7. Support Senior Bankers and Senior RM's in client marketing by providing analysis on client activity.

Duties:

Qualitative

1. Prepare client meetings with key meeting targets.
2. Assist and follow-up on flow (Trade, Cash, Loan Book, Plan Vanilla FID) business.
3. Work on improving the quality of the annual reviews.
4. Ensure effective coordination with product teams.

Quantitative

1. Ensure timely MIS reporting, preparation of pitches and credit requests.
2. Prepare (agenda) and organize regular (weekly, bi-weekly etc) meetings with product teams and subsequent follow-up.
3. Initiate the Annual Reviews, including contribution of product teams and produce relationship (draft) Strategy following portfolio and client analysis.
4. Ensure up-to-date client information and administer and monitor follow-up points (including action points identified in call reports/correspondence).

Skills Requirements:

1. Financial Knowledge obtained by Energy, Metals & Mining Sector.
2. Product experience (Fixed Income or Structured Finance).
3. Minimum years of experience needed is 4 years.
4. Bachelor degree in a banking & finance related major or preferably engineering.
5. Arabic is a major plus.
