Accounts Payable Executive (Shipping)

Accounts Payable Executive (Shipping) Our client is an industry leader in the maritime space. They are looking for an Accounts Executive to support the cash management team, as part of their ongoing expansion plans. Key Responsibilities: Payment Processing & Compliance – Handle local and foreign currency payments, ensuring accuracy, approval, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Cash & Bank Reconciliation – Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of cash transactions, bank statements, and automated deductions in financial systems. Financial Recording & Reporting – Prepare journal entries for payments, receipts, and intercompany transactions, ensuring proper coding and accurate foreign exchange adjustments. Cash Flow & Forecasting – Collaborate with internal teams to prepare cash flow forecasts, fund requests, and allocate operational expenses. Stakeholder & Issue Resolution – Address payment inquiries, provide supporting documents for claims, and resolve any returned or disputed transactions. Process Improvement & Ad-Hoc Support – Maintain best practices, identify process efficiencies, and assist with additional finance-related projects as needed. Key Requirements: Diploma in Accountancy or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the shipping or maritime industry. Strong communication skills. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively under tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Danaos Enterprise is an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
