Job Summary The role is responsible for managing all General Ledger to ensure timely transactions processing, timely reporting of management and statutory reporting, timely and clear process documentation and policies and maintenance of policies, leadership in process improvement/projects and support system changes/upgrades. Responsibilities Act as the primary contact point for businesses on maintenance projects issues or processes, which include conducting monthly discussions with relevant stakeholders on accrual and/or expense recognition related matters. Responsible to monitor projects profit margin. Responsible for liaising with relevant departments on Opex matters. Contribute and support business process improvement initiatives, such as new ERP system implementation. Responsible for integrity and accuracy during the data migration process and after system go-live. Perform month-end accounts closing activities and reconciliations including bank reconciliation. Perform and review journal entries, such as allocation, accrual, reversal, pre-payment etc. Investigate errors and drive resolutions while maintaining confidentiality. Perform monthly variance analysis captured in BS and PL. Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyse and interpret relevant financial information. Handle yearly statutory audit, prepare audit schedules, draft statutory accounts and attend to internal and external auditors queries. Must be familiar with changes in accounting regulations. Identify opportunities for improvements initiatives and innovate solutions to the team to achieve efficiency and cost effectiveness. Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Manager/Director. Requirements Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification. Minimum 3 years working experience in a similar position in commercial firms and with audit experience is an added advantage. Strong computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office in particular strong in Excel and experience in SAP B1 will be an added advantage. Experience in leading a team and able to work well in a team. Must have a positive attitude, able to communicate clearly, meticulous, analytical and able to work under pressure.
