Job Description: Parsons is seeking an amazingly talented Senior Engineer (BIM) - Structural. The BIM Engineer will be responsible for creating, managing, and overseeing the implementation of 3D models of building and infrastructure projects using BIM technology within the Engineering Projects Section “Design Unit”. This role requires expertise in various software tools and an understanding of construction workflows to ensure the efficient design and execution of projects. What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Designing and implementing structural design systems using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, collaborating with other design Engineers and departments, and ensuring that designs meet project requirements, codes, and standards.
  2. Producing structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports for both building and infrastructure projects.
  3. BIM Model Creation and Management:
    1. Developing safe and efficient structural solutions for projects within Yanbu Industrial City.
    2. Working closely with and taking ownership of detailed 3D BIM models produced by the CAD and Revit Technicians for construction projects.
    3. Ensuring BIM models are accurately integrated with all project disciplines.
    4. Maintaining and updating BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
    5. Ensuring the implementation of client procedures and standards for CAD/REVIT/BIM.
  4. Collaboration and Coordination:
    1. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop accurate models that reflect design intent and constraints.
    2. Participating in coordination meetings to ensure alignment of model elements and project details.
  5. BIM Design and Modeling:
    1. Creating and managing detailed structural designs using BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, STAAD Pro, Lumion, Tekla).
    2. Coordinating Structural designs with other disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural).
    3. Preparing Structural drawings in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
  6. Structural Design and Analysis:
    1. Designing, sizing, and laying out structural elements, ensuring compliance with local codes, standards, and project requirements.
    2. Performing structural analysis, calculations, and creating drawings to convey the design intent for pricing and construction.
    3. Conducting Engineering assessments and evaluations and producing technical reports to document the findings.
    4. Verifying design calculations and reviewing detailed drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
  2. Minimum of 8 years of comprehensive Construction industry experience in Structural Engineering, associated technologies, and facilities.
  3. Strong knowledge of Structural/Architectural systems, including STAAD Pro, Tekla, Bentley Structural WorkSuite, SAP2000.
  4. Extensive experience working with CAD / Production team in the use of BIM within the Construction industry.
  5. Strong project management skills.
  6. Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.).
  7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  8. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
