Job Overview AtkinsRéalis is currently looking for a highly experienced Security Engineer with a proven track record of working in critical government infrastructure projects, preferably in transportation projects. Working under a Project Management Consultant (PMC) setup to oversee the works of the Design & Build (D&B) contractors will be a clear plus. The role will involve several risk identification exercises and mitigation activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major metro rail project, ensuring the effective management of the assets. Lead the development and implementation of physical security strategies and plans for the metro rail project.
Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for the project sites.
Oversee the design and installation of security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems.
Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure security measures are integrated into the project design and construction phases.
Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard project assets and personnel.
Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency response teams to ensure effective security measures are in place.
Conduct regular security audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
Provide training and guidance to project staff on security best practices and emergency response procedures.
Prepare and present security reports and updates to project stakeholders and senior management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in security management, Engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in physical security engineering, preferably in rail/metro or strategic government assets projects.
Proven experience in managing security for large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of security systems, technologies, and best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
UAE or GCC project experience is highly desirable.
Ability to join quickly is preferred.
