Job Description As the Adventures/Activity Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of adventure and recreational activities at Hawar Resort. This role ensures that guests have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience while participating in various outdoor and adventure programs. You will lead a team of adventure guides, manage activity schedules, enforce safety protocols, and work closely with the Director of Adventures to maintain high standards for guest engagement and satisfaction. - Activity Coordination and Supervision: Oversee the daily operations of adventure and recreational activities, ensuring they run on schedule and meet high standards. Lead and guide guests through activities such as water sports and eco-tours, ensuring safety and enjoyment while managing staff schedules, equipment, and guest participation.
- Team Leadership and Training: Supervise and train activity staff, ensuring they understand safety procedures and guest service standards. Foster a positive work environment, motivate the team, and provide performance evaluations with opportunities for development.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, monitor adventure equipment, and ensure it’s regularly inspected. Conduct safety briefings for staff and guests to ensure all guidelines are followed.
- Guest Experience Management: Tailor activities to guests' preferences, address inquiries, and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by ensuring all activities are executed to high standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with the Director of Adventures to improve activities and collaborate with other resort departments for seamless guest experiences. Ensure clear communication among team members, management, and guests.
- Administrative and Operational Duties: Assist with managing schedules, equipment inventory, and materials for activities. Maintain records of guest participation and incidents, and support budget management to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in adventure tourism, recreation, or a similar field, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in leading and managing outdoor activities, guest engagement, and safety protocols.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. In-depth knowledge of adventure and recreational activities, including water sports, eco-tours, and outdoor excursions. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in high-energy environments. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in outdoor adventure activities (e.g., scuba diving, kayaking, hiking). First Aid and CPR certification (required).
